Google Pixel 6a Is No Longer Available In Online Store; Pixel 8a Released Soon?

The Google Pixel 8a is expected to appear in the next few months, and the most significant teaser regarding its arrival has just surfaced. By digitally taking the Pixel 6a model off the market, Google may be hinting at the impending release of the Pixel 8a.

The Pixel 7a is the most reasonably priced Pixel phone that Google has officially advertised, with the Pixel 6a nowhere to be seen. We independently examined the Google Store online to see whether the product lineup had changed.

The Google Pixel 6a, which debuted in 2022, is getting close to the end of its official OS support cycle from the company. It is just a year old. More significantly, however, given that we now have confirmed information on the Google I/O 2024 keynote in May of this year, the removal of the Pixel 6a from the online store by Google also suggests that the Pixel 8a will come soon.

We don’t understand why Google would break with precedent this year and not utilize its developer event to introduce the new Pixel A series model. Even though the Pixel 6a is no longer available, owners may keep using their smartphone until 2025 for OS upgrades or, if they’d choose, until 2027 for monthly security patches from Google on the outdated Android version.

WHAT WE KNOW ABOUT THE MAY 2024 GOOGLE PIXEL 8A LAUNCH
Although Google has not yet confirmed the official launch date for the Pixel 8a, Kamila Wojciechowska has provided us with further information on the impending mid-range Pixel phone. The tipster states that the Pixel 8a will have a screen refresh rate of 120Hz and a maximum brightness of 1,400 nits. But according to this source, the Pixel 8a may not get significant hardware improvements, particularly with regard to the forthcoming Pixel model’s cameras.

The Tensor G3 chipset, which powers the Pixel 8 and 8 Pro versions as well, ought to be included in the Pixel 8a. It has far superior power management than the Tensor G2. The Pixel 8a’s design may take a more rounded approach, which should improve the device’s grip and feel in the hand. We hope that Google will release the Pixel 8a at a price that is comparable with the Pixel 7a, which was released for around Rs 42,000.
