Hospitals dispute the name Yashoda, which bondholders claim is worth Rs 162 crore

HYDERABAD/NOIDA: A hospital is one of the largest purchasers of electoral bonds. Yashoda Super Speciality Hospital is its name, according to State Bank of India data that was provided to the Election Commission.
Which one, though? Although the buyer’s name is known, their identity is still unknown as of right now. This buyer is ranked No. 12, just outside the top 10. In October 2022, Yashoda Super Specialty Hospitals purchased bonds valued at Rs 162 crore.
Under this name, there are three hospital chains located in Hyderabad and Ghaziabad.

The hospital administration denied making any such gift on Friday, the day after the names of those who had purchased electoral bonds were made public on the EC website according to directives from the Supreme Court.
Three Yashoda hospitals can be found in Ghaziabad: Yashoda Super Speciality Hospitals in Kaushambi, Yashoda Super Speciality Hospital & Cancer Institutes in Sanjay Nagar, and Yashoda Hospital and Research Centre in Nehru Nagar.
They were initially under the same management team, which included doctor Dinesh Arora and his brother-in-law, PN Arora, a mid-70s law graduate. The two Aroras officially divorced in 2017. PN Arora received the Kaushambi hospital, while Dinesh Arora received the Nehru Nagar and Sanjay Nagar hospitals (which are now overseen by his son Rajat).
In Ghaziabad, the PN Arora group is constructing Yashoda Medicity, a brand-new, cutting-edge hospital with 1,200 beds. The group declared a Rs 500 crore investment in front of UP Global Investors last year.
The hospital administration of PN Arora released a statement on Friday, stating, “We have learned of rumours pertaining to Yashoda Super Speciality Hospital in Kaushambi that include political contributions made via electoral bonds. We would want to make it clear that our organisation has not participated in any such action.”
Dinesh Arora told TOI in an interview that while he was connected to the Sangh, the links had nothing to do with him. “We have not given any political contributions in the form of electoral bonds to any party. While the signage at our two hospitals in Nehru Nagar and Sanjay Nagar reads ‘Yashoda Super Specialty Hospital,’ our two facilities are officially recognised as Yashoda Hospital and Research Centre in other legal papers and with the Medical Council of India’, he said.
On June 10, 2016, Union Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar gave a news conference at Arora’s Kavi Nagar house while in Ghaziabad to discuss the accomplishments of the Modi government. “PN Arora and I had not broken up at that point. He said, “I am apolitical, but I’m associated with the RSS. We lived in the same house.”
Yashoda Healthcare Services Pvt. Ltd., situated in Hyderabad, also dissociated itself, despite the fact that its proprietors, G Ravinder Rao and G Surender Rao, made individual purchases of bonds valued at Rs 3 crore. Yashoda Healthcare released a statement after certain media reports linked the Rs 162 crore bond purchase to the hospital. The statement said, “Unfortunately, our hospital’s name was wrongly quoted in the media.” Similar-named hospitals exist around the nation. Many people mistake it for ours.”
