How to use Google Lens to copy text from an image

Have trouble seeing handwritten notes or having trouble inputting information again from a physical document? Google Lens is the only place to look. Whether it’s a handwritten recipe from a friend, a business card, or a menu from a restaurant, Google Lens allows you to quickly extract the text. We’ll walk you through the process of using Google Lens to easily copy text from photographs in this helpful tutorial.
Here’s how to use Google Lens to extract text from an image:

Using the Google Search App with Google Lens:
1.

Launch the Google Search application on your tablet or phone.
2. Depending on the version of your app, tap the Google Lens symbol at the bottom of the screen or in the search bar.
3. There are two approaches to take:
* Scan the picture directly: If the text is included in a physical document or photo, put your camera at it to make sure the text is sharply focused. The text will be instantly recognized by Google Lens.
* Choose an existing picture: In Google Lens, if the text appears inside a previously stored photo, press the image icon located in the upper right corner of the screen. Choose the picture that has the text you want to duplicate.
4. The text will be highlighted on the screen as soon as Google Lens recognizes it.
5. To fully select the highlighted text, tap on it. Additionally, there may be alternatives for you to choose and choose from inside the text.
6. Locate the “Copy” option, which is often located at the bottom of the screen. It might be shown as a copy sign or as a text label.
7. To copy the content to your clipboard, tap “Copy”.
8. You may now pick “Paste” and hold your finger where you want to paste the copied text, just as in any other app.
Using the Google Photos app with Google Lens:
1. On your tablet or phone, launch the Google Photos app.
2. Choose the image that has the text you want to duplicate.
3. Tap the Google Lens symbol, which might show up as a star icon among a string of dots, at the bottom of your screen.
4. After analyzing the picture, Google Lens will highlight any text that it finds.
