The Tata Harrier and Tata Safari SUVs were formally introduced by Tata Motors today for the Indian market. The Global NCAP program has also awarded both Tata SUVs their 5-star safety grade, which is additional. Results of the global NCAP for Harrier and Safari
The SUVs were fitted with ISOFIX anchorages and a passenger airbag deactivation button, both of which are essential for carrying kids in the front passenger seat. They also obtained a stable grade for bodyshell integrity. Additionally, the Safari and Harrier models are equipped as standard with pedestrian protection that complies with GTR9 and UN127 regulations. These SUVs got an amazing 33.05 out of a possible 34 points for the adult occupant category, and 45 out of a possible 49 points for the child occupant category.

According to the Global NCAP results, the Harrier and Safari facelifts demonstrated “good protection” for the head, chest, abdomen, and pelvis during the side impact test utilizing a deformable barrier. These SUVs include curtain airbags as standard equipment, which comply with the relevant installation standards and provide decent protection for the head and pelvis, mediocre protection for the chest, and sufficient protection for the abdomen in side pole impact testing. The performance sheet for the bodyshell showed that it remained “stable” for both SUVs, demonstrating its capacity to resist greater loads.

Safety Features for Harrier and Safari
With seat belt reminders for every seat and optional Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) technologies, the vehicles also satisfy Global NCAP’s ESC standards. These SUVs are equipped with frontal airbags, belt pretensioners, belt load limiters, side curtain airbags, and side chest airbags, among other important safety features.
