The Meta AI Chatbot Disabling Option May Soon Be Added To WhatsApp’s App Settings

With increased use, WhatsApp, which has been rolling out new services like the AI-powered chatbot, could eventually look different. The latest version of the Meta-owned chatbot, 2.23.25.15 for Android, includes a shortcut to the conversations menu. If the user chooses not to utilize the AI shortcut, this function is set up to enhance user experience and deactivate it.

The update is now being sent to beta testers, and not all users will be able to use this feature immediately after downloading it. WabetaInfo, a website that covers WhatsApp news and features, said that users may disable the shortcut using a slider found in the chat settings.

Many individuals felt that the shortcut was visually unappealing and would want to use the app just for contact with friends, family, and colleagues. In response, this option was implemented.

In response to user concerns expressed by those who choose not to utilize Meta’s AI services, WhatsApp feels that enabling users to deactivate this shortcut improves the overall user experience. Crucially, users may still initiate AI conversations straight from the contact list section even if the shortcut is eliminated.

The update is now available for download from the Google Play Store for beta testers. Over the coming days, WhatsApp plans to add more users. The firm wants to give users greater control over their app experience, and it seems that it is open to feedback from users.

The Channels admin may soon be able to post animated stickers on WhatsApp. The animated stickers will be visible to users, enhancing and personalizing their Channel experience.
