ZEISS cameras, a Dimensity 9300 chip, and all the details of the Vivo X100 Pro and X100 were released

Leading smartphone manufacturer Vivo launches its flagship X100 series—the Vivo X100 Pro and X100—in India to begin its 2024 adventure. The goal of both smartphones is to provide an enhanced photographic experience with the use of Zeiss lenses and innovative algorithms. The Vivo X100 Pro model is designed to compete with high-end Android flagships from companies such as Samsung, OnePlus, Oppo, and others. Its two main selling points are the ability to zoom in on smartphone photos and the convenience of taking portraits without the need to adjust the camera settings. The availability of a new ZEISS apochromatic telephoto lens, which enables users to take excellent portraits even at 10X magnification, is another important feature.

Specifications of the Vivo X100 Pro
A 6.78-inch 3D Curved AMOLED FHD+ screen with a customizable refresh rate of 120 Hz is included with the Vivo X100 Pro. Using an 8T LTPO panel is Vivo. Vivo has included more recent technologies to provide enhanced viewing capabilities and eye protection measures.

For the first time, there is V-ProMotion technology, which modifies the frame rate of the screen according to user preferences. More scenes may be shown at 1 Hz thanks to the LTPO screen refresh rate optimization, which also optimizes GPU frame rate and lowers display delay. Among the features that protect the eyes are blue light management and 2160 Hz high-frequency dimming. An in-display fingerprint sensor is present.

The new V3 imaging chip, G720 GPU, 10MB system cache, and an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 9300 chipset power the Vivo X100 Pro. The Armv9.2 Architecture serves as the foundation for the chipset. The internal capacity is 512GB, while the RAM is 16GB.

Three cameras make up the rear camera system: the 50 MP IMX989, OIS, the 1-inch sensor in the main camera; the 50 MP JN1 AF in the ultra-wide mode; and the 50 MP OV64B, 4X Optical 100X Floating Telephoto ZEISS in the portrait mode, which is driven by the V3 imaging processor.

Vivo gave careful consideration to the phone’s zoom camera and included a 100mm ZEISS APO floating periscope camera with it. That’s much too much jargon! The apochromatic lens is referred to as APO. How does it function? The best color correcting is said to be provided by apochromatic (APO) lenses. This implies that there won’t be any indications of orange or yellow in the red blossom you attempt to photograph in the full sun. Because APO manages chromatic aberration, the colors will be true to life.

“Floating camera” is an additional feature. What’s that? The floating periscope telephoto creates a clustered structure by placing a lens in front of the prism, which is significantly different from the conventional periscope camera. Vivo claims that the camera’s f/2.5 aperture in the same size, along with its ZEISS APO lens and floating periscope design, enable it to capture high-quality photographs at 6X or 10X magnification and in low light. Also, there is a new stabilization technology to assist customers in taking better zoom photos. A 15mm ultra-wide angle camera with an f/2.0 aperture and an ISOCELL JN1 sensor is also included.

A 32MP fixed focus camera with night and portrait settings is available for taking selfies. A 5,400 mAh battery that supports 50W wireless charging and 100W flash charging powers the Vivo X100Pro. The gadget supports Wi-Fi 7 and is IP68 dust and water-resistant. It supports eSIM and has dual Nano SIM card slots.

The specs of the Vivo X100
While the Vivo X100 has comparable technical specifications, it differs in terms of its imaging chip, battery life, and camera. The Vivo X100 Pro’s flagship-grade camera has been replaced by the sister, which has a 50 MP VCS IMX920, f/1.57, OIS main camera, a 50 MP JN1 AF ultra-wide camera, and a 64 MP OV64B portrait camera with 3X optical 100X digital (telephoto) ZEISS. The V2 imaging chip powers it. A 5,000 mAh battery that supports 120W flash charging is included. There will be two memory choices for the device: 12GB + 256GB and 16GB + 512GB.

Both smartphones are powered by Funtouch OS14 and are guaranteed to get OS updates for three years. A number of new features are included in the new operating system, including Motion Blur for better visual transitions, Mini Window for easy multitasking, and RAM Saver, which optimizes background operations.

The Vivo X100 Series, like other Vivo handsets, will be manufactured in India at Vivo’s Greater Noida plant, which employs around 10,000 people.

Launch pricing and incentives for the Vivo X100 Pro and X100
A 16GB+512GB version of the Vivo X100 Pro is on the market for Rs 89,999. The Vivo X100 (12GB+256GB) model will cost Rs 63,999, while the 16GB+512GB option will cost Rs 69,999. Both gadgets may be purchased with a zero down payment and no cost extended payback period of 24 months.
