After completing ‘Heads of State’ alongside Priyanka Chopra, John Cena will start work on ‘Peacemaker Season 2’

In 2024, John Cena will have had a lot of success. After releasing “Argylle” at the start of the year and the comedy “Ricky Stanicky” on digital platforms, the actor is now returning to the sets of his next action movie, “Heads of State.”

Following the start of filming in France with co-star Priyanka Chopra, the actor and WWE superstar shared information about his jam-packed shooting schedule.

The actor revealed that he would be joining Chopra and Idris Elba in the cast of “Heads of State” for the remaining episodes, which will be filmed in Europe, in a recent interview on the Pat McAfee Show. This information represents a major advancement for the movie, whose production has been hampered by the Hollywood strikes.

For the next schedule, Priyanka has already started filming in France, where the crew has arrived to begin the production. “Heads of State,” an action comedy film directed by Ilya Naishuller, stars Jack Quaid, John Cena, and Idris Elba in major roles. Although the film’s plot is unknown, it is said to be a cross between “Air Force One” and “Midnight Run.”
In addition to preparing for his next exciting project, “Peacemaker Season 2,” Cena is also getting ready to join Chopra and Elba on set. After finishing his film, the actor announced that he would start working on the famous anti-hero series’ second season right away.
The main place to get the most recent information on “Peacemaker” has been DC head James Gunn’s social media accounts, which provide fans with regular updates about the show. Gunn revealed a number of important clues about the forthcoming second season in his March 2024 update.
First off, the second season of the program is scheduled to begin production in the summer of 2024, promising an exciting new installment. Gunn also explained where season two fits into the DC Universe storyline. For those anxiously awaiting the next part in the ‘Peacemaker’ narrative, it sets up after the events of the DCU Superman movie but before the events seen in the Waller show.
Notably, Gunn has made it clear that the first season of “Peacemaker” would not be canon in the DCU.
