In one scene in particular, Govardhan, played by Vijay, is shown as making a troubling threat to a goon’s relative, which caused a stir.

A goon approaches Govardhan (Vijay Deverakonda), his sister-in-law, demanding money that her husband owes her. In retaliation, Govardhan issues a severe warning that is said to be a threat to the ladies in the goon’s household. The adversary and those in attendance were both taken aback by this scenario, which was added to the earlier discussion on respecting women.

On April 26, after the movie’s digital release, social media users expressed their disappointment. Many attacked both director Parasuram and actor Vijay Deverakonda for crafting the contentious phrase in the first place and for consenting to perform it. Several people voiced their displeasure with the scenario, criticized Govardhan for being portrayed as a hero while making such threats, and pointed out how inconsistent it is.
