Launched on February 15, 2024, ‘Bramayugam’, starring Mammootty in the antagonist role, took 30 days to produce. The production took Arjun Ashokan sixty days to complete, and he plays the protagonist. During the film’s revealing ceremony, Amalda Liz and Sidharth Bharathan were revealed as additional cast members. Thevan, a folk singer from the Paanan caste, is the subject of the movie. His life is drastically changed when, in the process of fleeing slavery, he comes across a pivotal occasion that reveals an old custom that changes his destiny.

At the film’s trailer premiere in Abu Dhabi, Mammootty encouraged viewers to approach the movie with an open mind. “Although the teaser may have given rise to different thoughts, I implore you to hold off on drawing any judgments regarding the plot. This is what I’m saying to make sure you’re not let down if the original story turns out to be different from what you had anticipated. Avoid going into the movie with preconceived ideas about how it will make you feel since it can ruin your experience when your predictions come true.”
