Day 3 Box Office Collection For Hanu-Man: Unexpected “First Hit Of 2024” With Outpacing First Weekend Revenue

Hanu-Man, directed by Prashanth Varma, is doing very well at the box office. Claimed to be the first superhero movie in Telugu, the film is changing records and how. Hanu-Man, which opened on January 12, did more business in its first weekend than the Hindi adaptations of popular films like KGF: Chapter 1, Kantara, and Pushpa: The Rise did in the same period of time. Film critic and trade expert Taran Adarsh revealed this incredible event on Monday via a post on X (formerly Twitter). The trade analyst said that the movie earned ₹ 6.06 crore (Hindi version) at the domestic box office on its third day of release. Following this, the movie has made ₹12.26 crore at the Indian box office. Taran Adarsh declared the movie the “first hit of 2024” when releasing the poster.

Taran Adarsh shared a poster of Teja Sajja’s Hanu-Man persona, saying, “This is a huge surprise. Hanu-Man initial *3-day* [opening weekend] total is greater than KGF [first part] and Kantara, at par with Pushpa [note: all Hindi dubbed versions]… You read correctly! 2024’s first hit is Hanu-Man. packs a tremendous punch during its debut weekend… The major chains have entered the fray even as huge pockets continue to rule the scene. 2.15 crore on Friday, 4.05 crore on Saturday, and 6.06 crore on Sunday. Twelve.26 crore in total. business in India. Note: Hindi version. The stronghold in mass sectors is advantageous going ahead since these areas will be the source of its daily business. Furthermore, as was said yesterday, Hanu-Man’s standing should be strengthened by the absence of any significant releases until Fighter [25 January]. Telugu version in North India: 24 lacs on Friday, 40 lacs on Saturday, and 45 lacs on Sunday. The sum is ₹ 1.09 crore.

One of the many Tamil and Telugu movies that were released during the Pongal/Sankranti weekend is Hanu-Man. At least in the Telugu states, the data indicate that Hanu-Man is leading the Sankranti race. However, according to sources, the film’s creators have filed a complaint with the Telugu Film Producers Council about unethical theater practices. Producer Niranja Reddy has reportedly claimed, as reported by Hindustan Times, that several theaters that had committed to showing Hanu-Man on January 12 had declined to do so. “The theaters did not screen the movie Hanu-Man as per the agreement,” the statement from the creators said. Producers and distributors lost a great deal of money. Thus, these theaters need to start playing Hanu-Man right now in order to make up for their previous losses.

In the meanwhile, Saibal Chatterjee, the film reviewer, rated Hanu-Man 2.5 stars in his NDTV review. He commented, “The first hour or so of the 158-minute film is dedicated to laying the scene for the big reveal, which is the man’s incredible ascent into the superhero league as it is now known. Only after rambling for forty minutes through his humorous mishaps and lighthearted escapades does Hanu Man arrive at the pivotal moment that marks the start of the traditional struggle between good and evil.
