Despite not being used to folding his hands, Aamir Khan claims that being a Muslim, he was aware of the significance of “namaste” while filming “Dangal.”

Recently, Aamir Khan made his television debut on Kapil Sharm’s program, which is still not available on OTT. Aamir’s fans were treated to a treat during this infrequent visit as he shared stories from various movies and several recollections from his life. The performer discussed his part in “Dangal.” He portrayed Mahavir Singh Phogat, a wrestler who develops his daughters Babita and Geeta into elite competitors.

Aamir confided on Kapil Sharma that his fondest memory of the movie was being overcome by the love of the people of Punjab during filming.”We shot in a small village in Punjab,” he remarked. You won’t believe how early in the morning I would arrive to the set. When I would arrive in that Punjabi hamlet early in the morning around five, the residents would gather outside of their houses to greet me. Every day for those two and a half months, they would leave their houses and chant, “Sat Sri Akaal,” while folding their hands. They used to be patient, kind, and they never bothered to stop my vehicle or bother me. Nothing. Everybody used to be waiting outside their home to greet me with folded hands when I arrived, and they would do the same when I left at three in the afternoon after packing up.”

“Being from a Muslim family, I’m accustomed to performing ‘adaab’ rather than folding my hands,” he said. However, after those 2.5 months, I understood the significance of namaste.”

Alongside Aamir in “Dangal” were Sanya Malhotra and Fatima Sana Sheikh. Aamir also shared experiences from filming the much discussed naked scene in “PK” on the program. The actor said that while he had been feeling embarrassed and had restless nights before to performing that part, once he was on the set and in the zone, he no longer felt embarrassed and was more focused on getting the picture perfect!
