Gadar 2 surpasses Pathaan and Baahubali 2 as the movie with the quickest-minted Rs 450 billion

Gadar 2 by Sunny Deol is on a mission to smash record after record. The movie has been playing in theaters for 17 days as of today, and reviewers and the whole industry are still praising it. Despite OMG 2 starring Akshay Kumar and Pankaj Tripathi’s competition, the film has generated a frenzy at the box office.

Gadar 2 earned more over Rs 440 crore during its two-week run, surpassing the earnings of KGF Chapter 2, a South Indian film starring Yash and Sanjay Dutt.

Gadar 2 generated revenue of almost Rs 17 crore on day 17. The film is now getting closer to joining the Rs 500 crore club. Gadar 2 has so far generated revenue of Rs. 456.95 crore, according to Sacnilk.com. Trade analyst Taran Adarsh announced Gadar 2’s latest accomplishment on X (formerly known as Twitter) on Sunday.

The movie smashed the records of Baahubali 2 (Hindi), which reached the Rs 450 crore mark in 20 days, by earning Rs 456 crore in only 17 days. It’s expected that the historical movie Gadar 2 would soon surpass Baahubali 2’s $511 million and Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan’s $525 million revenue records for worldwide box office receipts.

Gadar 2: The Katha Continues, the Anil Sharma-helmed sequel to Gadar: Ek Prem Katha, debuted in theaters on August 11. In it, Tara Singh and Sakeena are played again by Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel, respectively. The sequel depicts Tara Singh and Sakeena as a happy married couple with their son Charan Jeet Singh, played by Utkarsh Sharma, amid the background of the 1971 Indo-Pak war. When their kid finds up in Pakistan, their lives is drastically altered.
