Gurucharan Singh, the actor from “Taarak Mehta,” was having financial difficulties

The last place Gurucharan Singh was seen was in Delhi. He played Roshan Singh Sodhi in the hit comedy “Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah” and went missing a few days ago.

According to insiders, the star was facing financial difficulties and was about to be married.

Singh, who vanished on April 22, had gone for Mumbai via the domestic airport in Delhi, but he never boarded the plane to reach his intended destination.

The actor allegedly took out Rs 7,000 from a Delhi ATM, according to the Delhi Police. CCTV video provided confirmation of this.

The police also monitored the position of his mobile phone; based on the tracing data and his mobile information, he was in Delhi till April 24. He hasn’t turned on his cell phone since.

Meanwhile, Singh’s other actors have expressed difficulty in explaining his abrupt and enigmatic withdrawal.

The actor who played Atmaram in the program, Mandar Chandwadkar, said he was unable to comprehend the actor’s abrupt absence.

“It is really surprising for me as well,” he said to the reporters. He continues to move between Mumbai and Delhi. Our last encounter was at Dilip Joshi’s son’s December wedding. Although we had a good time together, we haven’t kept in contact.

Joshi, incidentally, is the sitcom’s lead character.

As Taarak Mehta’s wife, Jennifer Mistry Bansiwal made an appearance on the program. She remarked, “I just pray that there is some misunderstanding and he is doing fine.” He is a kind guy and very spiritual.

The performers departed from the longest-running program on Indian television due to personal issues with the show’s creators.

The creators of the program allegedly harassed Bansiwal, who departed in 2023. In 2020, Singh had left the program.

Based on a complaint from Singh’s father, the police have opened a case of abduction and multiple teams have been sent to track for the actor.

This past Monday, his flight was supposed to depart at 8.30 p.m., but at about 9:14 p.m., he was seen at a traffic signal in Palam on the way to Gurugram. According to CCTV video, he was seen crossing the street with a rucksack.
