I have a newfound admiration for television artists as a result of my experience on tiny screens: Sapthami

Sapthami Gowda, who gained notoriety for her role as Leela in Kantara’s big-screen adaptation, is now poised to win over lovers of the small screen. I feel like my reach has increased because I recently appeared in five popular serials’ promotions on the tiny screen. Before this experience, I had no idea how much attraction the little screen had until I was involved in it, the actor says.

“I’m thrilled to be working on a television project.”
It all began when a television network asked Sapthami to promote five of their most popular serials. I reasoned with them that Mahesh Babu sir had done the same in Telugu. It seems enjoyable. In addition to getting to attempt something quite different from the big screen stuff I do, it was a day’s work,” says Sapthami. “So I appear as myself and talk about five popular serials and what’s happened so far and the story that probably will unfold next and it’s all being told from the audiences’ point of view,” she explains, giving us more details on her stay.
“You have to unlearn all the big-screen mannerisms because of television.”
As Sapthami reveals, With television, she could always learn a great deal on the sets and get a peek into a world she had never seen before. Upon turning to face the camera, I realized that our on-screen demeanor of nuanced faces and muted emotions was not appropriate in this situation. Watching television requires you to use your eyes in an exaggerated and highly expressive manner. It takes some time to learn the gestures that work on the little screen since it’s the complete reverse of what we do on film. And it must be very remarkable to do this every day. In summary, Sapthami says, “I have a newfound respect for all television artists.”
