It’s time to preserve his memory and his patriotic deed, according to Mukund Varadarajan’s wife

It is now confirmed that Sivakarthikeyan’s next movie, “Amaran,” which he is directing alongside Rajkumar Periasamy, is a biography of Indian Army soldier Major Mukund Varadarajan. Indhu Rebecca Varghese, the late Major’s wife, has said that she is excited to see a movie.

The Ashoka Chakra recipient, Major Mukund Varadarajan, sacrificed his life on April 25, 2014, while leading a search and cordon operation against terrorists in South Kashmir. The action was based on intelligence inputs.

In the movie, which stars Sivakarthikeyan as Major Mukund Varadarajan, the actor plays the man who, after his death, was given the Ashok Chakra for his efforts during a counterterrorism operation while serving as a deputation to the 44th Rashtriya Rifles unit in Jammu and Kashmir.

Indhu Rebecca Varghese expressed her ideas in a letter, writing, “Amaran…My everlasting one.. I’ve thought about how to phrase this a thousand times, but I’ll just say what’s on my mind as usual. After ten years, it is now appropriate to immortalise his legacy and act of patriotism on film. Although I can’t help but be excited about the movie, my joy will always be tinged with unwavering hope, boundless love, and irreversible loss. Standing in solidarity and sorrow with our families and all others who understand the pain of losing a loved one for a just cause. JAI HIND!!!”

Sai Pallavi plays the major role in the movie, which is backed by Kamal Haasan’s Raaj Kamal Films International in collaboration with Sony Pictures Films India. GV Prakash composed the soundtrack.
