Nargis Fakhri remembers feeling “so nervous” when she had to dance for “Rockstar.”

In honor of World Dance Day, Bollywood diva Nargis Fakhri reminisced about her first-ever, nerve-wracking, and thrilling experience dancing on screen in the film “Rockstar,” which costarred Ranbir Kapoor.

Fakhri has received recognition for her catchy dance routines in many hit songs. “I firmly believe that dancing is one of the best forms of expression on screen,” she said, reflecting on the importance of dance in her life.Dancing helps me to forget my tension, therefore for me, it’s also a kind of meditation.”

“Not just dance, I enjoy watching some great choreography as well,” she said.
Fakhri first entered the dance industry with the film “Rockstar,” where she acknowledged feeling anxious on filming.

But as soon as the music started, she lost herself in the beat and her inhibitions vanished—a moment she calls “incredibly special.”

“I still find it very special that I danced on screen for the first time with ‘Rockstar.'” I was a nervous panic on the set, but as soon as the music began, I couldn’t stop tapping my feet. It was a huge event that was also really thrilling! I want to do that on film more often,” Fakhri said.
2011 saw the debut of “Rockstar,” a musical drama from Bollywood directed by Imtiaz Ali. In the film, Nargis Fakhri and Ranbir Kapoor play the key parts.

The protagonist of the tale is a young Delhi boy named Janardhan Jakhar, portrayed by Ranbir, who aspires to be a rock star like his hero, Jim Morrison. He encounters Fakhri’s portrayal of Heer Kaul, a free-spirited girl with whom he falls in love, and becomes transformed into Jordan.

The film follows Janardhan as he pursues his musical goals while navigating love, heartache, and celebrity. It looks at issues like self-discovery, desire, and the sacrifices one must make for their work.
A R Rahman’s soulful soundtrack for the movie “Rockstar,” which has hits like “Sadda Haq” and “Nadaan Parindey,” is well-known.The film won many accolades and was nominated for several more after receiving positive reviews for its director, acting, and soundtrack.

Regarding her career, Nargis Fakhri most recently starred with TV actor Dheeraj Dhoopar in “Tatlubaaz.”
