R Madhavan Remembers Rehnaa Hai Terre Dil Mein With Particular Memories: “My spouse and I had to…”

One of R Madhavan’s most iconic films is Rehnaa Hai Terre Dil Mein, which came out in 2001. For the movie, the actor and Dia Mirza had a shared screen. The actor spoke candidly about a unique moment from the movie’s filming in a recent interview.

Reminiscing about the film, R Madhavan said in an interview with Travel+Leisure India, “The fact that me and my wife got to travel first class for the very first time in our lives.” We were putting our hands together, staring into one other’s eyes, and exclaiming, “Oh!” We are taking first class travel. This was one very memorable scene from the movie.

Rehnaa Hai Terre Dil Mein, helmed by Gautham Vasudev Menon and produced by Vashu Bhagnani, starred R Madhavan, Dia Mirza, and Saif Ali Khan. The movie is a reimagining of the director’s original Tamil film, Minnale, which debuted the same year and featured Madhavan in a character he repeated. Everything, including the conversation, situations, and music, hit the correct notes.

During the same interview, Madhavan was also questioned about who he would cast in a modern remake of his beloved movie 3 Idiots. In response, he said, “Actually nobody! There isn’t an alternative. That’s all, Maddy. They will need to locate someone. Then he said, “It’s not possible, Sorry!” and rectified himself. Aamir Khan, Sharman Joshi, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Boman Irani, and Mona Singh all had significant parts in the Rajkumar Hirani-directed movie.

Regarding his career, R Madhavan is now enjoying the positive feedback for his most recent film, Shaitaan. The film’s success is attributed to its captivating narrative, outstanding performances, and the widespread appeal of its major stars, R Madhavan and Ajay Devgn. Siddharth Anand, the film’s director, also has major parts for Jyothika, Janki Bodiwala, and Anngad Raaj.
