Regarding Rajkummar Rao’s casting as “Srikanth,” Tushar Hiranandani said, “We felt that he was the only guy who could do it-Exclusive

Rajkummar Rao, who previously shown his skill in biopics such as “Bose: Dead/Alive” and “Shahid,” is back and ready to bring realism to the screen with “Srikanth.” In a special interview with ETimes, director Tushar Hiranandani discussed the decision to cast Rajkummar Rao in the biopic “Srikanth,” which tells the inspirational story of visually-impaired billionaire Srikanth Bolla.

According to Tushar Hiranandani, “we had zeroed in on Rajkummar when we decided to make Srikanth.” “Pulling off a role like this is very tough, and we knew that Rajkummar was the only person who could do it,” he said.

Speaking, he underlined the painstaking measures used to guarantee authenticity, saying, “I make sure that the character looks as similar as the real person.” Rao’s immersion in the part was disclosed by Tushar, who said, “Raj sat with Srikanth and the young boy who plays the young Srikanth in the film as well.” Every person with vision impairments you see in the movie is also visually impaired in real life. Raj has to seem as authentic as possible. I give my actors opportunities to push themselves, and Raj did a good job.

The director said of Rao’s dedication to the project, “Raj loved the story and wanted to do it immediately.” He enjoyed taking on problems of this kind, therefore it was hard for him.”

When asked about his preference for biopics, Tushar Hiranandani said he was passionate about telling true tales in a cinematic manner. “I enjoy making biopics and subjects based on real people,” he said. “I like to add a little masala to everyday things. They are heroes in real life, which is why I want to portray them as such.”
