Thalaivar 170: Filmmakers reveal the film’s title and a “fiery” trailer featuring Rajinikanth

On Tuesday, December 12, Rajinikanth, the renowned actor, celebrated turning 73 years old. The producers of his next 170th movie revealed the film’s title as a surprise announcement on his birthday. The movie was originally going to be called Thalaivar 170, but Lyca Productions ultimately released the official title, Vettaiyan, on December 12. In addition, Lyca Productions released a teaser trailer for the main star.

Rajinikanth appears in the teaser wearing sunglasses and a mesmerizing, furious face. He is heard stating, “When the hunt is on, the prey must fall.”

After a lengthy 33 years apart, Rajinikanth and megastar Amitabh Bachchan reunite in the movie. “After 33 years, I am working again with my mentor, the phenomenon, Shri Amitabh Bachchan in the upcoming Lyca’s “Thalaivar 170″ directed by T.J. Gnanavel,” he said on his X (previously Twitter) account in October to convey his delight. My heart is bursting with happiness!

Regarding Vettaiyan
While Amitabh Bachchan and Rajinikanth’s roles in Vettaiyan have been kept under wraps, there have been some fascinating rumors suggesting that Big B will play the antagonist and Rajini will play a police officer in the film.

With much expectation from both the film industry and viewers, the film has already started shooting in Kerala. Manju Warrier, Dushara Vijayan, Ritika Singh, Rana Daggubati, and Fahadh Faasil are among the remarkable ensemble cast members that feature in it.

Before this, Rajinikanth starred in Nelson Dilipkumar’s film Jailer. With nearly Rs 650 crore in global receipts, the movie proved to be a huge hit. With an opening day earnings of Rs 44.50 crore, it became the greatest opening in Tamil cinema this year. Jailer, which was produced by Kalanithi Maran, had significant parts for Jackie Shroff, Shiva Rajkumar, Mirna Menon, Mohanlal, Vasanth Ravi, Vinayakan, and Tamannaah Bhatia.
