The film “777 Charlie,” starring Rakshit Shetty, will debut in Japan in June

The creators of the National Award-winning movie “777 Charlie” have announced that it will open in Japan on June 28.

With Rakshit Shetty in the lead role and directed by Kiranraj K, “777 Charlie” took home the best National Film Award for best Kannada film from the previous year.

The film has received support from Shetty via Paramvah Studios, his production company.

The poster states that Shochiku Studios, the company behind Seijiro Koyama’s 1987 film “Hachiko Monogatari,” which served as the basis for the 2009 Richard Gere movie “Hachi: A Dog’s Tale,” would release the movie in Japan.

On Saturday, Paramvah Studios announced that “777 Charlie” would have its debut in Japan.

“Charlie, #777, visits Japan. ‘777 Charlie’ will be distributed in Japan by Legendary Studio @shochiku_movie, which is well-known for releasing blockbusters including ‘Hachi: A Dog’s Tale.

“We consider it an honor to be connected to one of Japan’s biggest and most illustrious film companies. Release date of #777Charlie in Japan: June 28, 2024. “777 Charlie” is a 2022 Kannada film that chronicles the journey and connection between Rakshit Shetty’s character, Dharma, a lonely factory worker, and Charlie, a stray Labrador.

Kiranraj said in an X post that the film would also be distributed in Germany, Taiwan, Latin America, Russia, and other nations.

In addition, Raj B. Shetty, Danish Sait, Bobby Simha, Aniruddh Roy, and Sangeetha Sringeri appeared in the movie.
