The following justifies Suniel Shetty’s decision to forego sending his children Athiya and Ahan to an Indian school

Suniel Shetty is having a good year. Beginning with his very first OTT series, Dharavi Bank, and ending with his most recent, Hunter Tootega Nahi Toodega. The actor has been receiving all the acclaim, and rightfully so. In addition to these endeavors, Suniel Shetty also gained the title of proud father-in-law when his daughter Athiya Shetty wed cricketer and longtime love KL Rahul. The actor, who is renowned for playing rough and gruff characters, recently revealed the actual reason he sent his children to a school run by an American Board in an interview.

He explained to Nikhil Kamath that he didn’t want his children to get any preferential treatment if they attended an Indian school. Suniel said, “I made sure that I did not send my kids to an Indian school, but (to the one) that (had) faculty that was American because I did not want anyone to treat them either special, as a celebrity kid, or pan them for whose children they are.”

“I said let them go into a world that doesn’t care who they are,” he continued, “and I suppose it worked for me at some point. That’s a lot of money, my dad used to remark, is still fresh in my mind.

The actor also remembered the moment his daughter Athiya Shetty revealed her desire to go in show business to him: “We went to Atlanta for Athiya. She saw the college. Everything was done. She loved it. She got admission.” She said to me at the airport on the way back, “You know papa, I am not really happy doing this.” ‘What do you want to do?’ I questioned. I want to work in the film and entertainment industry, she said. Because that is so stressful, I replied, “Baby, it’s a lovely place, but will you be able to accept failure?” Every Friday kills me, and the only thing that kills me is the worry, he said.

With Akshay Kumar and Paresh Rawal, Suniel Shetty will return to the venerable Hera Pheri series. The much anticipated movie garnered media attention due to rumors and suspicions that Kartik Aaryan will take over for Akshay Kumar. The cast, consisting of Raju, Shyam, and Babu Bhaiya, recently filmed a humorous commercial for the upcoming movie.
