Shivin Narang: Regardless of who you are, whenever I watch events like the Met Gala or Cannes, I can’t help but wonder, “Is This Fashion?”

According to Shivin Narang, fashion for him is having a personal style that he is comfortable with. The actor continues by saying that he does not buy what is trendy but rather what he enjoys.

“Fashion is something that reflects my own identity and is fresh and fashionable, in my opinion. The hues, texture, and fashion that I naturally gravitate towards. I don’t always want to follow the trends in fashion or styles that are popular. I don’t tend to be a shopaholic. I don’t often visit the shop every week to check out the newest items. But anytime I find something I enjoy, I take it up. I don’t follow it every week, every month, or every season to be informed about what will happen next. However, because I work as an actor, we often shoot, so we make an effort to maintain our sense of style whether we’re at an event, in a movie, or on another platform. We make an effort to be current in accordance with our character and the times, he adds.

He responds, “My comfort clothing, if you have to define me, I’m a white shirt and blue jeans guy with my trainers on, I guess,” when asked what he feels most comfortable in. I feel most at ease there, I believe. If I had to describe myself to you, I would say that while I’m at home, I typically wear loose, comfortable shirts and my lower sportswear, but when I’m out, I like to wear my comfortable denim jeans and linen shirts.

He remarks, “It’s already a struggle to play a character whose sense of style is absolutely at odds with how I dress. I recall playing the character of RJ in one of my programmes, “Internet Wala Love,” and his name was RJ Jay Mittal. We don’t recognise we are actors till we perform our roles. His sense of fashion was totally at odds with mine. He was quite loud, wearing torn jeans and vivid hues, while I am fairly subdued in my colours and fashion choices. And I tend to go towards colours like blue, black, white, and grey. Therefore, that was totally against my beliefs. It took some time. I suppose it gave me more self-assurance, making me feel like, “Okay, yes, I can carry all those colours and I’m comfortable in them.” Wearing something that makes you feel confident and reflects your individuality is crucial. Therefore, when someone says, “Oh! He carried the look so well or she carried the look so well,” you understand what they mean. It’s how you carry it, not what you’re wearing.

He claims that sometimes it is permissible for individuals to follow fashion trends to excess, and other times it is not. “I’m not sure. I just feel like I doubt myself sometimes. Perhaps I’m not up to speed on everything, even fashion. Why do individuals dress in such a variety? I suppose it encompasses more than just selling clothing, trends, or fashion. We see a lot of ridiculous clothing as well as a lot of items that may be worn outdoors in daily life. regardless of who you are. But whenever I see events like the Met Gala or Cannes, I can’t help but wonder, “Is this a fashion?” I suppose it’s the attire for the occasion, merely to attract notice at that certain time. I don’t think we should wear it or carry it about with us all the time when we go out. I suppose it’s exclusive to that area or to that event. In my opinion, no. If I want, I suppose my clothing should also be something indicative of the times in which we live so that anybody may recognise it and exclaim, “Wow.” Shivin looks fantastic. I ought to attempt this as well. I suppose that concept crosses my head whenever I model anything or when I create a video that I want my fans to view so they can connect to it.
