Police in the UK are looking for a man who may have thrown a “corrosive substance” in London, injuring nine people

In London, British police announced on Wednesday that they are in pursuit of a suspect following an incident where several individuals were injured with a corrosive substance. The Metropolitan Police force disclosed that a man had thrown the substance at a woman and two children in the Clapham area, resulting in nine individuals sustaining injuries.

Detective Superintendent Alexander Castle described the event as a “horrific incident.” According to the police, the injured comprised the woman and two children, three adults who came to their aid, and three police officers. Castle mentioned that the injuries to the officers were believed to be minor, and there was no immediate information about the condition of the others.

Tests are currently being conducted to ascertain the cause of the injuries, with indications pointing towards a corrosive substance. The police are actively searching for a man spotted fleeing the scene.
