Active Covid cases dropped to 2,831 nationwide

According to statistics from the Union Health Ministry updated on Wednesday, 214 new coronavirus infections have been reported in India, while the number of ongoing Covid cases has decreased to 2,831 from 3,001.

The death toll is 5,31,884 and no new deaths have been registered, according to statistics updated at 8 am.

The total for the Covid case was 4.49 crore (4,49,92,094).

According to the government, the number of current cases is now 0.01 percent of all infections, and the national COVID-19 recovery rate is 98.81 percent.

A record 4,44,57,379 individuals had recovered from the illness, and the case fatality rate was 1.18 percent.

The website of the ministry reports that the country has now received 220.66 crore doses of the Covid vaccine as part of the ongoing national immunisation campaign.
