Cooling face packs made of Ayurveda to fight the intense heat

When the day is almost over and you look in the mirror, you see that dark patches have started to appear on your face—your tan is making an appearance. It’s all of us, not just you. Now that summer has officially arrived, you may use sunscreen and protect yourself from the heat, but even so, the sun’s rays may damage your skin, leaving it appearing dull and spotted. Even while a regular skincare routine helps maintain and repair the skin barrier, there are times when your skin needs a little additional TLC. For such times, try cooling face packs made with all-natural Ayurvedic components. We’ve highlighted a few for you here.

Curd and aloe vera face pack
An aloe vera and curd face pack is the perfect quick fix if your skin feels hot to the touch or was overexposed to the sun. Aloe vera’s cooling and anti-inflammatory qualities help to soothe burnt regions by moisturizing and retaining moisture in the skin. Similarly, curd has a calming effect by fighting free radicals that damage skin due to its high lactic acid concentration. Mix one tablespoon aloe vera with one tablespoon curd, smear the mixture over your face, and allow it to remain for twenty minutes before washing it off with a gentle cleanser.

Mint and green tea face mask
Mint has several health advantages for skin that has been exposed to the sun, so it’s not only a herb for cool summer drinks. Meanwhile, the antioxidant-rich green tea helps to reduce skin inflammation. Pour some crushed mint leaves into a cup of green tea. After soaking a cotton pad or soft cloth in the mixture, apply it to your face. After reapplying every few minutes for a total of fifteen to twenty minutes, wash your face with water.

Honey and tomato face mask
For many people, homemade face packs have long been a mainstay. Tomatoes are anti-tanning agents that provide skin a rejuvenating radiance with every use. Renowned for its ability to reduce inflammation, honey simultaneously hydrates the skin. Puree some tomatoes and add a spoonful of honey to a blender. Apply the concoction on your face, then let it sit for fifteen minutes.

Rose water and sandalwood face pack
In addition to helping to reduce pores, sandalwood also helps to relieve sunburn and calm irritated skin. Sandalwood’s calming characteristics soothe sensitive skin and reduce dark spots when paired with the antioxidant-rich qualities of rose water. Make a paste out of sandalwood powder and two teaspoons rose water, apply to your face, and let it on for twenty-five minutes before washing it off.
These are just a few of the easy-to-make, cooling Ayurvedic face packs that are perfect for summertime to soothe your sun-damaged skin.
