A 36-year-old lady in south Delhi was “sexually assaulted”

A 36-year-old lady said that a “known person” had sexually assaulted her by adding sedatives to her drink.

On March 11, police received a report from a lady alleging that a “known person” had sexually assaulted her.

According to the police, the victim and the accused, Gaurav Aggarwal (40), got in touch in January of this year for the sale of the victim’s recognized property. She informed the police that her family is familiar with the accused’s relatives.

“Thereafter, he went to the complainant’s residence and gave them his word that he would sell the property,” they said. According to the police, Malviya Nagar resident Gaurav had discovered that the complainant practiced astrology. He won the complainant’s confidence and started calling her under the guise of finding out. In order to finalize a property transaction, Agarwal brought the complainant to his friend’s residence in Neb Sarai on January 24. While there, Agarwal slipped something in her drink, according to an official.

According to the police, the accused sexually attacked the victim until she passed out. Sections 328 (causing hurt by supplying poison or hazardous substances), 376 (rape), and 506 (criminal intimidation) of the Indian Penal Code have all been brought up by the police.

Nevertheless, the culprit has eluded the police’s grasp. They said, “Investigation is underway, and efforts are on to apprehend the alleged person.”
