A campaign was started in Haryana to combat the illegal booze trade, and 45 FIRs were filed

The Haryana State Enforcement Bureau (HSEB) launched a special campaign yesterday, according to Haryana Home Minister Anil Vij, to combat illegal activities, including the sale of illicit and raw liquor, in 22 of the state’s districts. During the special campaign, four cars were seized, 45 FIRs were filed, and 44 people were detained.

In 22 areas, 345 liters of “lahan,” as well as English and country whiskey and 504 bottles of beer, were captured during the campaign.

According to Vij, seven FIRs were filed for “lahan” and raw liquor throughout the campaign. Two FIRs were filed in Karnal for 310 liters of ‘lahan,’ two in Kaithal for 14.8 litres of confiscated raw liquor, one in Jind for 4.5 litres of raw liquor, one in Hisar for 22.5 litres of raw liquor, and one in Palwal for 35 litres of ‘lahan’.

According to the Home Minister, two false claims were made in Ambala over 52 bottles of country liquor, leading to the arrest of two suspects in the illegal booze case. Ten bottles of country liquor were the subject of one FIR in Kurukshetra, which resulted in the arrest of one suspect.

Nine bottles of country liquor were the subject of one FIR in Panchkula, which led to the arrest of one culprit. One accused person was arrested in Yamunanagar after a FIR for 19 bottles of country liquor was lodged. Five suspects were taken into custody after five FIRs were lodged in Faridabad for 37 English liquor bottles and 51.75 country liquor bottles. 22 bottles of country liquor were the subject of one FIR lodged in Palwal, which led to the arrest of one culprit. Four suspects were taken into custody in Nuh after four First Information Reports (FIRs) were filed for 14 bottles of country liquor, 120.25 bottles of English liquor, and 12 bottles of beer.

In a similar vein, two FIRs were lodged in Gurugram for sixty English liquor bottles and thirty-one.25 country liquor bottles, leading to the apprehension of two suspects. Two suspects were arrested after two FIRs were registered in Mahendragarh for 13 English liquor bottles and 22 country liquor bottles. Two FIRs were filed in Rewari for fourteen bottles of country liquor, thirty-six bottles of English liquor, and forty-eight bottles of beer; as a consequence, two accused were taken into custody. For fifteen bottles of country liquor, a FIR was lodged in Fatehabad, leading to the apprehension of one suspect.
