Amit’s and Raj Thackeray’s meeting in Delhi creates buzz ahead of the LS Polls and heated debates in Maharashtra as well

Ahead of the Assembly elections later this year and the Lok Sabha elections in 2024, Maharashtra politics seem to be intensifying. In the midst of rumors that the MNS, headed by Raj Thackeray, may join the BJP-led Mahayuti government as a fourth partner, heated debates are taking place in Delhi and Maharashtra. On Tuesday, March 19, Raj Thackeray and the BJP National General Secretary met for thirty minutes in Delhi. More rumors were fueled when Thackeray and Tawde met Home Minister Amit Shah after this meeting.

Sources claim that if Raj Thackeray joins the Mahayuti, he would seek a Lok Sabha seat from South Mumbai for MNS. Although the BJP, Shinde-led Shiva Sena, and Ajit Pawar-led NCP form a powerful Mahayuti coalition in Maharashtra, rumors have claimed that Raj Thackeray would strengthen the alliance and influence the “Marathi Manoos” voter base.

Meetings have also been held in Maharashtra as Raj Thackeray meets with top BJP officials in the nation’s capital. chairman Minister of Maharashtra Eknath Shinde hosted party MPs at his Thane mansion, while BJP state chairman Chandrashekhar Bawankule, Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, and NCP leader Ajit Pawar met at the Sagar bungalow in Mumbai.

In an exclusive interview with News18, BJP leader Nitesh Rane responded to a question on Raj Thackeray’s joining the Mahayuti alliance by saying that it would further the party’s Hindutva agenda.

With a jab at Uddhav Thackeray, the former chief minister of Maharashtra, Rane, said, “We will get the original Thackeray with us.” These days, Uddhav Thackeray is a Chinese knockoff. He does not follow Hinduism. He is now collaborating with the Congress. On the other hand, Raj Thackeray is the fiery Hindutva figure who upholds Balasaheb Thackeray’s philosophy.

The primary goal is to “make Modiji the Prime Minister for the third time,” according to Rane, when asked whether the BJP would be open to offering the MNS a seat. “Everyone is welcome to come along. He said, “And as our leader Fadnavis has stated, we will gather all of our friends and make adjustments as needed.

With consecutive meetings taking place in Maharashtra and Delhi, all eyes are on Raj Thackeray to decide whether or not to join the Mahayuti coalition and get the seat he has been demanding.
