Anurag launches the first Una-Haridwar train

The first run of the Una-Haridwar passenger train was launched today at the Una railway station by Union Minister of Information and Broadcasting Anurag Thakur. The train, which had previously operated between Una and Saharanpur, has now been extended to Haridwar.

In addition, spiritual leaders from the Una area were invited to the flag-off ceremony for the pilgrimage site of Haridwar. Speaking at the event, Anurag said that one of the main requests of the locals had been the construction of a direct rail to Haridwar, which has now been granted. He claimed that an express rail service from Una to the sacred towns of Mathura and Ujjain will also begin in the near future.

Anurag said earlier, at a “Tridev” conclave of party workers in Saloh village in the Haroli Assembly segment, that the instability of the Congress government in this state was not related to the BJP and that there was a clear division among the state’s Congress legislators due to the departure of numerous leaders. He said that the state’s Congress administration had failed to uphold its pre-election “guarantees” to the populace.

Subsequently, the Union minister launched a bicycle rally from the Una BJP headquarters, “Deepkamal.” The slogan “say no to drugs” was used to organize the demonstration. He urged the young people to drive safely and to wear helmets while operating two-wheelers, among other safety precautions.

Additionally, the minister opened a brand-new post office facility to the public at Chowki Maniar hamlet in the Amb district. The Union minister was joined by Una MLA Satpal Singh Satti and BJP district president Balbir Chaudhary.
