Army Jawan Disappearing From Kulgam, Kashmir; Search Operation Ends

Javed Ahmad Wani, an Indian army soldier, is allegedly missing after his car was discovered in the Kulgam area of south Kashmir.

The 25-year-old soldier, who had returned home on vacation, had been out shopping in Chowalgam when he vanished.

The area’s search effort is now over, but the jawan is still unaccounted for. Once further leads are found, more regions will be looked into.

Today, Wani was scheduled to return to his position in Leh.

Several residents have reportedly been detained for interrogation, according to sources.

Army has started searching the area where his car was discovered. According to News18, the police and troops are inspecting the area. His family was alerted by Wani’s neighbors that his automobile was parked on the road with its windows open.

Javed’s Alto automobile has been transported to a neighborhood police station. One of his slippers and the food he had bought were also discovered in the vehicle.

Wani, a local of the Achathal neighborhood in the Kulgam district, was assigned to the Ladakh region.

Authorities said that his automobile was discovered in Paranhall.
