Bengaluru Cafe Bombing: Karnataka Minister Says NIA Is Tracking Suspected Bomber’s Identity

Karnataka Home Minister Dr. G Parameshwara said on Monday that the security authorities have located the suspected bomber in the Rameshwaram café explosion case in Bengaluru and are attempting to determine his identity.

Speaking to the journalists, Parameshwara said, “It’s pretty certain who the bomber is. It is being further ascertained by the National Investigation Agency (NIA) detectives and the special wing of the CCB.

The Central Crime Branch (CCB) of the Bengaluru police is assisting the National Investigation Agency in its investigation into the explosion that occurred on March 1 and resulted in 10 injuries.

Parameshwara continued, saying that authorities are getting closer to apprehending the perpetrator thanks to strong leads.

The accused bomber responsible for the March 1 explosion at the city’s well-known restaurant, “The Rameshwaram Cafe,” was shown in pictures and videos by the NIA on March 9.

The investigation team has announced a reward of Rs 10 lakh for any leads or information that result in the capture of the accused bomber. Also, the CCB has established many teams to find and apprehend the defendants.

As part of their combined investigation into the bombing, the NIA and CCB have apprehended a PFI cadre and a fabric trader from Ballari’s Kaul Bazaar.

According to authorities, on March 1, a guy entered the café and placed down a bag containing an IED that was equipped with a timer set for an hour. An hour later, the explosion occurred, injuring ten people.

According to reports, the individual who put the bomb inside the restaurant traveled from Bengaluru via Tumakuru, Ballari, Bidar, and finally Bhatkal before being discovered by the investigating teams.

He often altered his appearance to conceal his identity and deceive the investigators, according to CCTV video obtained by the cameras at the city bus and bus terminal.
