BJP and JD(S) disassociate themselves from the purported video case

Regarding the purported video issue, HD Kumaraswamy, a former chief minister of Karnataka and leader with the JD(S), said that “there’s no question of forgiving them.” He went on to say that the offender would have to deal with the consequences of their actions under the law and declined to speak more until the inquiry was over.

“HD Deve Gowda and I, along with other women, have always respected women and have made an effort to address their concerns when they bring them up.

An SIT probe has already been mandated by the CM. He will return from his overseas trip with the SIT team. I don’t care about it,” he said.

Senior leader and chairman of the JD(S) core committee, GT Devegowda said, “I don’t blame the government for launching the SIT probe. We shall convene and determine the necessary course of action regarding the Prajwal Revanna matter. I’ll simply state for the time being that I appreciate the SIT inquiry.”

“We, as a party, have nothing to do with the videos and neither do we have any comments to make on the SIT probe announced by state government,” said S Prakash, top spokesman for the BJP’s state unit.
