Chandigarh: On Foundation Day, the BJP raises the party flag in 614 booths

Today, the BJP city unit honored its founding day by raising the party flag in 614 Chandigarh booths.

Jitender Pal Malhotra, the president of the city unit of the BJP, said after hoisting a flag at the party office in Sector 33 that the 11 BJP presidents, from Atal Bihari Vajpayee to current leader JP Nadda, did not become so through “nepotism of Nehru-Gandhi clan, but by working day and night in the interest of the nation and the party.”

“This explains why, in just 44 years, the BJP has solidified its hold on power and the nearly 140-year-old Congress is now marginalized,” the speaker said.

“As of right now, the BJP is on track to surpass 400 seats in the general election of 2024, making it the largest political party in the nation in terms of Lok Sabha seats and the largest political party globally in terms of organizational strength,” Malhotra said.

“There is a scramble to join the BJP among opposition party leaders as well as the general public. Senior officials from the Congress, AAP, and several other significant parties have recently joined the BJP. This is the outcome of ten years of administration led skillfully by Modi, as well as the development and public welfare initiatives of BJP policies,” he said.
