Day One of Navratri 2023: Prime Minister Narendra Modi Shares Stuti Honoring Goddess Shailputri

On Sunday, October 15, the country received heartfelt congratulations from Prime Minister Narendra Modi in honor of the auspicious celebration of Navratri. “Wishings for a happy Navratri to my countrymen. May Shakti Pradayini Maa Durga bless everyone’s life with joy, wealth, and good health. Hail mother Goddess!,” he said on X, previously Twitter, in Hindi.

The earliest manifestation of the goddess Durga, Mata Shailputri, is honored on the first day of Navratri. PM Modi also shared a stuti in her honor.

The millions of Indians who observe this colorful and spiritually important holiday reacted favorably to PM Modi’s warm and sincere greetings on the occasion of Navratri.

The Himalayas are represented by Mata Shailputri, with “Shail” standing for a mountain range.
