Death case of Sushant Singh’s former manager, Disha Salian: State orders SIT investigation

Tuesday saw the state government request a SIT (Special Investigation Team) investigation into the passing of late actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s manager, Disha Salian.

Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis told the Assembly in December of last year that a SIT will be established to look into Salian’s death.

In October of this year, BJP leader Nitesh Rane demanded that senior Shiv Sena leader Uddhav Thackeray and his father answer the Disha Salian issue, specifically focusing on UBT leader Aaditya Thackeray.

On June 8, 2020, Salian supposedly fell from a high-rise building in Mumbai’s Malad neighborhood and died. This occurred one week before Sushant Singh Rajput was discovered hanging from his home’s ceiling.

In this instance, Mumbai police had filed a report of an accidental death.
