A wild elephant in Kerala’s Wayanad area perished due to electricity on a privately owned farm situated in the steep terrain. Forest authorities claimed that the event took place in the Ammaani region. According to DH, the male elephant is thought to have been electrocuted when an electric wire fell on it as it was bringing down a big coconut tree. A postmortem examination will be performed to ascertain the elephant’s actual age.

In order to deal with the problem, the elephant’s corpse was raised by cranes and transported to a remote woodland location for further testing and interment. When the landowner went to investigate the cause of the power outage on the property, he found evidence of the occurrence.
