Demonstration against Brindavan’s abandoned fountains

Mandya: After a sudden demonstration by visitors seeking the recovery of the admission charge since the well-known melodic fountains were broken, a tense situation developed within the Brindavan Gardens at the KRS dam grounds on Saturday night. The demonstrators were dispersed by the police.

One of the main draws of the Brindavan Gardens, the melodic fountain, was not working on Saturday night, according to the KRS police.

Several visitors were offended by this and requested their admission charge back. Officials refused, stating that no more money is being taken in for the musical fountain.

A few people attempted to physically abuse the personnel, which made the situation heated. The situation was under control by the local police.
