Due to bad weather, Aligarh schools have been ordered to remain closed for students up to class 8

Schools in Aligarh have been recommended to stay closed today, November 28, due to unfavorable weather. Times Now reports that the Education Officer-in-Charge announced the school break per the directives of District Magistrate Indra Vikram Singh. Parents and kids are advised to remain in touch with the schools for information about the reopening of the schools. Today’s bad weather has prompted all state board, CBSE, and ICSE schools—from preschool to class 8—to close.

Previously, September 12 was designated as a school vacation for the whole of Uttar Pradesh. All pre-primary through class 12 schools in the districts of Barabanki and Lakhimpur Kheri were urged to declare a vacation in accordance with the DM’s orders.

On November 27, schools in Delhi and Uttar Pradesh were closed in honor of Guru Nanak Jayanti. On Monday, government offices, banks, and schools were closed in honor of Guru Nanak Jayanti 2023. This month’s festivities also featured the November 24 celebration of Guru Teg Bahadur Shaheedi Diwas. In observance of Guru Teg Bahadur Shaheedi Diwas, schools for students in Pre-Nursery through Class 12 were closed on Friday, November 24, according to a statement acquired from the District Magistrate Office.

Meanwhile, the heavy rains that pounded most of Tamil Nadu last week forced the closure of schools in Chennai and the surrounding districts on November 25. Due to rains earlier this month, a number of districts, including Madurai, Dindigul, Theni, Mayiladuthurai, Coonoor, and Kanyakumari, had also announced school holidays on a few days.
