Electric fence in Mohali to keep stray animals at bay caused a farm fire

“It was observed that illegal electric fence was installed in the area to prevent cattle from entering the fields,” a PSPCL officer said. It seems that the fence was the cause of the fire. It is believed that the fire started there after a broken fence insulator was discovered at the scene.
