Fazilka: Fraudster apprehended in 33 instances from Varanasi

Today in Varanasi (UP), the Fazilka police detained Amandeep Kamboj, also referred to as Aman Skoda, who was a fugitive and con artist. According to SSP Varinder Singh Brar, he is being transported to Fazilka. The cops would arrive late at night, according to sources.

Skoda is sought in many criminal offenses that have been reported to various state police stations for blackmail, extortion, cheating, violence, and forgery.

Hans Raj Golden, the secretary of the CPI in the Fazilka district, who had been attacked by someone purportedly at Skoda’s request, urged that Skoda receive severe punishment.

Golden also demanded action against Skoda and an ADGP-rank officer, who he said was favoritizing him, in a writ suit filed in the Punjab and Haryana High Court in 2021. Because of his suspected closeness to some top police officials, he was seen as a “police tout.” 19 out of the 33 instances that were filed against him, according to sources, resulted in his designation as a PO.
