Following a heated argument in Bengaluru, retired Indian Army Colonel Naik opens fire

According to authorities, on Wednesday, a 65-year-old former Indian Army Naik was taken into custody after he reportedly opened fire after a heated altercation while intoxicated.

According to the police, on Tuesday, Parashuram went to the Abbigere home of 31-year-old Suraj and began fighting with him and his family.

There had been a nice connection and friendship between the accused and Suraj’s family. However, they claimed that a disagreement had recently affected their connection. The police said that a furious quarrel broke out between Suraj and his father when they forbade Parashuram from entering their home.

Said to have been intoxicated, Parashuram pulled out his legally owned handgun and aimed it at Suraj, who fled in a fury. Then, the accused started shooting into the air, frightening everybody.

Parashuram calmed down with his neighbors. Suraj alerted the authorities, who responded immediately, detained Parashuram, and took his pistol, according to a senior police official. He added that nobody was hurt in the event.

Suraj said in his complaint that Parashuram had been acquainted with his family for a few years, that he often visited their home while intoxicated, and that they had arguments over unimportant matters.\

“We filed a case at the Gangamma Gudi Police station under provisions of the Arms Act and section 307 of the Indian Penal Code (attempt to kill) based on the complaint. He said, “The accused was taken into custody by the police.
