Four-Year-Old Girl Sexually Assaulted by a School Van Driver in Indore; Arrested
According to authorities, a van driver who took kids to a private playschool in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, reportedly sexually molested a four-year-old girl.
The police detained the van driver, Sumit, on Friday night in response to a complaint made by the child’s parents, an official said.
According to Sanyogitaganj Police Station in-charge Vijay Tiwari, the attack was discovered after the mother noted the girl’s peculiar behavior and she complained of discomfort in her private areas.
He claimed that the youngster told her mother that the defendant had touched her intimate areas and sexually molested her.
The youngster was taken for a medical checkup after her parents took her to the police station, according to the official.
He said that the driver was apprehended in the evening after the police had his information from the private playschool.
According to Tiwari, the accused has been charged with violating the POCSO Act’s pertinent provisions as well as sections 376(3) (rape on a woman under the age of 16), 354 (assault or criminal force against any woman), and 506 (criminal intimidation) of the Indian Penal Code.
