In four days, 218 crates of illicit alcohol were found

In only four days, the police have recovered 218 crates of illicit booze and two cars.

The booze was being distributed against the regulations set out by the Excise Department.

A crew from CIA-II reportedly sized up a utility vehicle that was unlawfully transporting beer crates close to the Jagadhri bus stop on April 19 in the evening after receiving a tip.

The squad found 103 beer crates in the car, and the shipment was supposed to be delivered to a liquor store in Yamunanagar.

CIA-II chief of staff Anish Kumar said that Arun Kumar, the driver of the car, was making use of his second one-time usage permit. In this respect, he added, a complaint had been filed.

In a separate incident, on April 18, the police found 101 cases of domestic booze and 14 cases of foreign liquor created in India close to Nagli Ghat, a mining dispute in the Jathlana region of Yamunanagar district.

The booze was placed onto a utility vehicle without the necessary paperwork, such as excise department permits.

It was said that the shipment of illicit alcohol will be delivered in Uttar Pradesh.

Sources claim that because alcohol is less expensive in Haryana, individuals in Saharanpur were supplying it illegally via Nagli Ghat and other Yamunanagar neighborhoods.

A police spokesperson, Chamkaur Singh, said that district police teams were engaged in a special operation to prevent the illicit supply of alcohol during the Lok Sabha elections.
