In October, the Railway Protection Force reunited 601 kids with their families: State

The Ministry of Railways said on Friday that the Railway Protection Force, as part of operation “Nanhe Faristey,” has successfully reunited over 601 children throughout the month of October, demonstrating its continued dedication to ensuring the safety of commuters.

These kids were taken from their families for a variety of reasons, according to a statement from the ministry, and the Railway Protection Force (RPF) did all in its power to make sure they returned safely.

According to the report, the force’s anti-human trafficking units (AHTUs) at different points around the Indian Railways put out unceasing effort to foil the nefarious schemes of those who traffic in people. 39 victims were freed from the grip of human traffickers by RPF in October.

During operation “Jeevan Raksha” in October, 262 people almost lost their lives at stations and railway lines due to the RPF’s prompt and attentive actions, according to the statement.

Speaking about women’s security under the ‘Meri Saheli’ project, the ministry said that 4,23,803 female travelers received security assurances from the RPF. 5,722 persons who were discovered in carriages designated for ladies were also the target of RPF action.

The ministry also said that during October’s train journeys, the force assisted 272 old, ill, or wounded passengers.
