In accordance with the plan, 508 railway stations, including 44 in Maharashtra, would undergo world-class redevelopment. Kanjurmarg, Parel, and Vikhroli are located on the Central Railway network in Mumbai.

Shinde said in a statement that Rs 13,539 crore had been set aside in the railway budget for a number of projects, including the modernization of 123 stations in Maharashtra.
