Major upgrades to Vande Bharat trains, including double engines and improved features; Check Specifics

The Vande Bharat train is changing and will soon become a more popular option for tourists. The new Vande Bharat trains will have two engines, which will increase their speed and simplify the engine switching procedure. According to the Chittaranjan Rail Engine Factory, around 80% of the engine work has already been finished.

With a peak speed of 180 kph, India’s present Vande Bharat is one of the fastest trains in the world. It is unique in that it can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in only 54.6 seconds and reach its top speed in just 145 seconds.

Dual engine, modernized Vande Bharat trains have improved driver chairs with more amenities and comfort. 24 LHB passenger coaches will work in a push-pull arrangement with these contemporary engines.

It’s important to note that only domestic technology was used to build these trains. Vande Bharat uses an integrated engine system instead of the usual Indian trains’ individual engines for each carriage. Double engines will be added, which will increase its capabilities even further. The trains provide a variety of modern facilities and include automated doors similar to metro systems. Additionally, the train seats are able to swivel 360 degrees.

It is anticipated that a full set of engines would be available for Vande Bharat trains by the first week of November. Currently, 80% of one set of engines is ready. Once the engines are prepared, they will be sent to the Integral Coach Factory (ICF) where their special qualities will be incorporated into the Vande Bharat trains.

The two sets of engines for Vande Bharat are being produced in Chittaranjan at a rapid pace. In order to solve any flaws, the driving chairs and engine features are being improved utilizing cutting-edge indigenous technology. According to Amit Agrawal, Chief Public Relations Officer, Chittaranjan Rail Engine Factory, one set of the new engines will be ready by the first week of November and would provide the train drivers a high degree of comfort.
