On Saturday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will use video conferencing to signal the departure of Goa’s inaugural Vande Bharat Express train from the Madgaon railway station.
The cutting-edge Vande Bharat Express will enhance connectivity on the Mumbai-Goa route and provide the area access to fast, comfortable transport. The train will be the nation’s 19th Vande Bharat service to operate.
The train will travel between Goa’s Madgaon station and Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus. When compared to the currently quickest train between the two locations, it will take around seven and a half hours to complete the route, saving about an hour.
The homegrown train, which comes with top-notch facilities and cutting-edge security measures like KAVACH technology, would help increase tourism in both states.
