PM Modi Visits the UAE After France

Following a two-day trip to France, where he met with French President Emmanuel Macron, Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in the UAE on Saturday.

The Grand Cross of the Legion of Honor, the nation’s highest civilian and military honor, was awarded to Modi.

During Modi’s visit to the UAE, the emphasis will be on issues like energy, food security, and defense.

Modi is in the UAE for a single day.

After signing a historic trade pact, the two countries are anticipated to assess their progress.

Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the head of the UAE and ruler of Abu Dhabi, will speak with Modi.

India and the UAE collaborate in a number of areas, including commerce, investments, energy, food security, science and technology, education, fintech, defense, and strong interpersonal relationships.

The majority ethnic group in the UAE is Indian expatriates, who make up around 30% of the total population. According to UAE data, there will be 3.5 million Indian nationals living there in 2021.

Modi had previously said during his visit to France that the nation is a natural ally of India.

He said so following extensive talks with Emmanuel Macron, the president of France, at the Elysee Palace.

He also praised France, the host nation, for providing a magnificent welcome.

The discussions, which deepened connections between the two nations and were a part of Modi’s visit to France, covered a wide variety of subjects, such as long-term visas, university collaborations, and the effects of the Covid-19 epidemic.

The visit of the Prime Minister will provide an opportunity to determine how to advance the India-U.A.E. comprehensive strategic partnership in a number of areas, including energy, education, healthcare, food security, fintech, defense, and culture, according to the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA).
