Punjab: 2 Women attacked by 6 Men Outside a Club After Rejecting Their Advances

According to police, at least six unidentified males attacked two ladies outside a private club in Sector 9 of Panchkula and ran their can over the victims’ legs as punishment for rejecting their approaches. In the small hours of Tuesday, six males who drove in two automobiles and attempted to take the ladies with them forcefully arrived.

While the other lady received serious head injuries, the woman who was ran over had fractures in both of her legs.

One of the ladies is a mother of two children, ages seven and four, and is a native of Malikpur in Jhajjar, Haryana, according to a story in the Hindustan Times.The two, who were vacationing in Panchkula, were sleeping at the home of a different acquaintance in Dhakoli, the police said.

The ladies went to Panchkula’s Purple Frog Club on Monday night. Around four in the morning, while they were waiting for a taxi to take them back home, a guy and his assistants approached them. They invited one of them to join them. When he was rejected, the guy started striking the lady in the head and yelling insults.

She was also attacked by the guy’s helpers, who knocked her to the ground. The man then jumped into his Maruti Suzuki Swift and sped off, running over her legs.

He allegedly threatened to murder the two before running away, according to one of the victims.

According to the complaint, a case was opened at the Sector 5 police station under Sections 148, 149 (both rioting), 323 (voluntarily inflicting harm), and 506 (criminal intimidation) of the Indian Penal Code.

An investigation has been started to find the accused.
