Rajnath requests that the IAF study and take note of emerging tendencies in air combat

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh urged the IAF to concentrate on bolstering the air defence systems, employing drones, and making advancements in the aerospace industry to safeguard India’s air domain on Thursday. Singh emphasized the need to analyze and learn from new trends in the field of air warfare to strengthen the defence preparedness.

The current state of global security presents new difficulties. We have to be prepared to handle them at all times,” he said.

After kicking off the two-day Air Force Commanders’ Conference here, Singh was giving a speech. Air Chief Marshal V R Chaudhari, Chief of the Air Staff, informed him at the meeting on the operational readiness of the Indian Air Force (IAF).

The defense minister emphasized the need of improving operational readiness and the significance of the three services working together to plan and carry out operations. He asked the IAF commanders to study the quickly shifting geopolitical landscape on a global scale and evaluate it within the Indian context.

During the recent Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief (HADR) operations in Himachal Pradesh, Sikkim, and other flood-affected regions, he lauded the IAF for its outstanding performance. Additionally, he commended the IAF for organizing the Air Force Day Parade and Air Display at Prayagraj, which the public found to be very enjoyable.

The biannual conference includes talks on lAF’s future trajectory in light of the present geopolitical landscape and technical demands. Prominent national security specialists and distinguished individuals from several domains have been extended invitations to share their perspectives at the gathering.

The conference’s main topics of discussion will be how to improve India’s total air power and difficulties related to national security, according to a release.
